Yulius Purwadi Hermawan
Lecturer of International Relations at Universitas Katolik Parahyangan, Indonesia

Dr. Yulius Purwadi Hermawan is a lecturer in International Relations at Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, Indonesia and consultant for international development cooperation and foreign policy inputs. He has been researching on G20 issues since 2010, and has various experiences with international organizations and government institutions including:

  • Research and Consultancy, Foreign Policy Input, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia (1997-2020)
  • Capacity Building Training Aceh, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (2006-2009),  Consultancy, Preparation for Rio+20 Conference, Ministry of Environment of Indonesia (2010-2012)
  • Consultancy, G20, Economic Policy Inputs, Ministry of Finance (2013-2015, 2019)
  • The Analysis of the South-South and Triangular Cooperation Model in the International Development Cooperation developed by Indonesia as member of G20, Ministry of High Education, Research and Technology of Indonesia (2014-2015)
  • Research, Social Parameters of Sustainable Infrastructure Development in Indonesia, supported by Heinrich-Böll-Foundation (2017), and
  • Research, Development Cooperation Partnership in Southeast Asia, In cooperation with Policy Research Network in Southeast) Asia, supported) by JICA, Tokyo (2019-2021)

He holds Doctor of Philosophy in Politics and International Studies from the School of Politics and International Studies, University of Leeds, UK and Master Degree in Politics with specialization on East Asian studies (Japan, Korea and China) at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
