Yanuar Sumarlan
Lecturer and Program Secretary at the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies, Mahidol University

Dr. Yanuar Sumarlan is Lecturer and Program Secretary at the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies, Mahidol University, Thailand. He teaches Philosophy of Human Rights, Rights of Marginalized Groups, and Research Methodologies. His research focuses on Human Rights, Environmental Rights, Sustainable development and Indigenous People's Rights. His past works include researcher on land tenure and social forestry for  the International Center for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF), Bogor, Indonesia, and Forest campaigner for Greenpeace Southeast Asia, Thailand office.

Dr. Yanuar Sumarlan holds PhD in Social Science from the Faculty of Social Science, Chiang Mai University, Thailand and Master of Science in Social Development from Ateneo de Manila University, The Philippines.
