Tobias Basuki is Co-founder and Managing Director of Aristoteles Consults. His background is in research and academia. His analysis and commentaries had been featured on CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, MSNBC, Channel News Asia, TRT World among other international news channels. Previously senior researcher at the Jakarta based Center for Strategic and International Relations (CSIS). Prior to that he was director of research at Institut Leimena. He had taught International Relations and Politics at Universitas Pelita Harapan.

His published writings can be found in the Jakarta Post, the Diplomat, the Conversation, the East Asia Forum amongst others  He had previously consulted and conducted research for government agencies such as USAID, JICA, and the German Foreign Ministry. He earned his degrees from Northern Illinois University and Goshen College.
