Dr. Sawang Meesaeng is a lecturer in the International Development Program, at the School of Social Innovation, Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand. His area of research covers rural transformation and agrarian development in peri-urban and rural areas, environmental conservation and resources management, cultural anthropology, community development and Thai social history. He holds Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Development, Cultural and Regional Studies from the Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation, Hiroshima University, Japan
