He holds MSc  in Global Change Management from Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development which was supported by Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Scholarship and BA in European Languages (German) and BSc in Industrial Engineering, both from University of the Philippines, Diliman. Gino speaks Filipino, Visayan, English, German, and Italian.
