Dr. Kasira Cheeppensook is an Assistant Professor of International Relations at Faculty of Political Science, Associate Dean in Academic Affairs, and Deputy Director of the Centre for Social and Development Studies, Chulalongkorn University.



Beside teaching on International Relations at the faculty, her research area are on ASEAN normative transition and human security. She authored 'Remaining on the Fence? ASEAN and the Russia-Ukraine War' in Civil Societies’ Reactions of East- and Southeast Asian Countries to the Russian War on Ukraine: Preliminary Observations, eds. David M. Malitz and Surachanee Sriyai (2022), ASEAN in the South China Sea conflict, 2012-2018: A lesson in conflict transformation from normative power, Europe International Economics and Economic Policy 17, 747–764 (2020), and  'Security studies in Thailand' in Routledge's "International Relations as a Discipline in Thailand" (2018). She holds Ph.D. in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science and M.Phil. in International Relations from the University of Cambridge.
