Asia, the world’s most populous continent, has been undergoing a dramatic transformation. Globalization and new technologies are leading millions of people out of poverty. At the same time loss of land as well as violent conflicts are forcing people to migrate within and outside Asia.
The third issue of Perspectives Asia looks to Thailand, Myanmar, Pakistan, India and others to show the different motives for migration and the difficult life of those being affected.
