We promote those studying and graduating who have a positive attitude towards the goals of the Green project, share the fundamental ideals of the Heinrich Böll Foundation – democracy, ecology, solidarity and non-violence – and who take an active socio-political role.

A vital part of this report of the current context in Southeast Asia involves showing the ways that ordinary people, activists, human rights defenders, and social movements are organizing to protect their communities from destruction and injustice, even in extremely precarious and dangerous situations. Some of the most vocal and active participants in progressive movements for change and transformation are women from the most affected communities in the region.

Scholarship Myanmar Program

The Heinrich Böll Stiftung Southeast Asia Regional Office invites candidates living and working in Myanmar to apply for its Scholarship Program for Master of Arts Programs at selected partner Universities in Thailand. Up to six full scholarships are available for the academic year 2014 for international M.A. programs

The Heinrich Böll Foundation grants scholarships to approximately 1,000 undergraduates, graduates, and doctoral students of all subjects and nationalities per year.
