Julia Mayerhofer
Interim Executive Director of the Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network (APRRN)

Julia Mayerhofer is currently the Interim Executive Director of the Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network (APRRN). She joined the Network back in April 2011 as Programme Officer. Prior to APRRN, Julia worked in Hong Kong and was in charge of fundraising and project development at the Chungking Mansions Service Centre, a community-based centre for refugees and asylum seekers in Hong Kong. Julia developed her passion for refugee rights when she was working with refugees on the Thai-Myanmar during her student days. She has a BA in educational sciences and an MA in Development Studies. In addition she has participated in various trainings related to human rights and refugees. Julia also has a strong interest in social enterprises and won the Hong Kong Social Enterprise Challenge in 2011.
