Bharat Dahiya

Dr Bharat Dahiya is an Urbanist based at Chulalongkorn University, Social Research Institute, Bangkok. Since the early 1990s, his work has combined academic research, policy analysis, and development practice aimed at examining and tackling social, economic, environmental, and governance issues in the contemporary urban context. Working with the World Bank, UN-Habitat, the Asian Development Bank, and the UNDP, Bharat has initiated, led, and contributed to technical assistance and operational projects on sustainable and inclusive urban development in the Asia-Pacific region. He is Series Editor for the Springer book series Advances in 21st Century Human Settlements. Reuters, Inter Press Service, and SciDev.Net have quoted his work.
